Brevard County has conditionally approved tax breaks for Melbourne-based Oakridge Global Energy Solutions Corp., a manufacturer of lithium batteries. The company is hoping the tax breaks will allow it to move into the former MC Assembly building on Kirby Circle in Palm Bay.

They currently have 25 employees, but are expecting to expand to 1,000 employees by the end of 2018. The tax break is a performance based incentive, and Oakridge will only receive the tax break if it meets its stated goals. They are also seeking tax relief from the City of Palm Bay and the State of Florida.
