Tuttle-Armfield-Wagner Report

According to the 1st quarter report of 2015 by Tuttle-Armfield-Wagner, the Brevard County economy is growing. Occupancy levels continue to strengthen, even as rental rates rise. Residential real estate is strong, with the median sales price of a home 23% higher than it was a year ago; inventory has shrunk by 25%, with 30 days being the median number of days for a home to sell; and the number of home sales is 9.4% higher than last year.

Additionally, there is a trend of corporate commitment to expansion, and the resultant creation of new jobs. Some examples are:

  • Lockheed Martin – 300 jobs in Titusville
  • GT USA – 2,000 jobs at Port Canaveral
  • Embraer – 150 jobs in Titusville
  • Oakridge Global Energy Solutions – 1,000 jobs in Palm Bay
