Have We Mentioned The Weather?

Okay, the weather is not the only reason to live here, but it’s certainly a factor. Ocean breezes keep us cool in the summer, and the southern latitude keeps us warm in the winter. Whatever your outdoor activity is, whether golf, tennis, baseball, running, surfing or quiet strolls in the park, you can do it all year long. Tee off in January? Go for it.
Are you a nature lover? Brevard is nature lover’s paradise. There are approximately 4,000 species of animals locally, including North American river otters, bobcats, white-tailed deer, raccoons, rabbits and squirrels. Though rare, it’s not unheard of to see a Florida panther. Aquatic wildlife includes manatees and bottlenose dolphins. During the months from May through October, thousands of sea turtles cam be seen coming ashore to dig their nests and lay eggs. During this same period, the babies will hatch, dig their way up through the sand nest, and crawl across the beach into the Atlantic Ocean.
